I can't deny the fact that I'm disappointed by just a smidge.

But there I go again with my expectations.

On the upside, I’ve learned to control it. I’ve learned to realize that this shouldn’t mean crap to me and that I shouldn’t expect anything out of anyone anymore because there’s really not a whole lot of people I can trust and I know better than to expand this whole “circle of trust” thing.

I guess when you get your hopes up for something and that something doesn’t turn out the way you want it to, the smile on your face gets wiped off and you’re greeted by that momentary heart sinking feeling of failure that’s out of your control.

Whatever. Life moves on. I’ll smile again tomorrow.
